Born in West Bengal, raised in Bihar (now Jharkhand), worked in Kanpur and New Delhi. After marriage, first moved to Chennai, then Hyderabad and then to Paris. Sutapa has been lucky to travel around quite a bit and meet some great people who have generously shared their food and culture with her. All of this is reflected in the book. The recipes are inspired from the food she grew up eating across the different cuisines. Coming from a family of non-vegetarians, her love for chicken and non-vegetarian food is evident in the book. She currently resides in Belgium with her husband and her son.
