Dr. Jeffrey Soble, Professor of Cardiology at the Medical Center of the University of Rush in Chicago, also does not eat meat. He noted that Dr. Tumpanakis’ research confirms the benefits of a plant-based diet not only for type 2 diabetics but also for anyone else. According to him, most modern diets are based on the principles of low calorie, high protein content, and high-fat content – their positive effects, in the long term, have not been proven.
